About Us

James Cueva grew up in Miami, Florida. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL in 1998 and received his law degree cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in May 2003. After being admitted to practice by the Florida Supreme Court in September 2003, James has dedicated his legal career to serving clients throughout South Florida, appearing in federal and state courts throughout South Florida to include Palm Beach, Broward, Lee, Collier, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. His extensive experience includes representing clients in jury trials in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, and James has represented clients in the federal district courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the bankruptcy court for the Southern District of Florida.

James now dedicates his practice to civil litigation matters, including representing injured persons in personal injury and wrongful death cases, representing consumers in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, and helping clients with their estate planning needs.  For members of the legal community, James offers mediation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution through his affiliated business, Miami Mediation, Inc. 

 James resides in West Kendall with his wife and two daughters.  James is active in his community and regularly donates his time advocating for issues that he is passionate about. He is also an avid sports fan.  In his spare time, James enjoys watching college football, sailing and fishing with friends and family.
